Known for the strong emotions it evokes, the ambient pop band Husky Rescue will continue its 20th anniversary at Festivaali!
The band made a comeback with its original members last autumn to celebrate its 20-year-old ‘Country Falls’ debut album at three sold-out concerts at Kulttuuritalo in Helsinki. “We were surprised by how good it felt to be back together after all these years – it was like seeing a long-lost friend. It feels special that we can have the same experience again at summer nights,” the band says.
Husky Rescue is famous for its songs like ‘Summertime Cowboy’, ‘Deep Forest Green’, ‘Sound of Love’ and ‘New Light of Tomorrow’, which also featured on The Sopranos. Started as the solo project of songwriter-producer Marko Nyberg, the band released four studio albums between 2004 and 2013 and toured in Europe, the UK, the USA, China and Japan, and performed at festivals such as Glastonbury, Austin City Limits and Lollapalooza. This summer, Festivaali in Pyynikki can be added to the list!
