One of Finland's all-time most popular and beloved singers and songwriters, J. Karjalainen, is coming to the Festival!

During his career spanning over forty years, J. Karjalainen has written works that define the entire history of Finnish music. An artist who has adapted American musical traditions to Finnish conditions has always been in a class of his own, regardless of which corner of that treasure chest he has explored. The artist's soulful lyrics and melodies are a total national treasure, and many of these iconic songs, which transcend generations, will be heard this coming summer by the picturesque shores of Pyhäjärvi in Pyynikki!
